If you felt a disturbance in the force last week, it was because big things were going down in our office. Tom wore a button down, people with suits came into the office and the entire planet earth (with a focus on Monroe County NY) was proclaimed Tango Charlie Apparel day (which we immediately translated into year).
It is not often you get to see Tom shift in his moments of surprise. We knew he was getting a visit from the county and that it was probably because he was doing good things to help out where needed.
Backstory...Tom has strong ties to the veteran programs around Monroe County. He spent time woking to help build the Warrior Salute program, and has always been about giving back where possible.
When the Warriors of Freedom Memorial was trying to raise money by selling apparel Tom offered to ship their goods and give them a place to sell them online, through Tango Charlie Apparel.
The proclamation that it was officially Tango Charlie Apparel day in Monroe County was pretty special.
